Facilities
The sports medicine facilities at Iowa State University are some of the finest in collegiate athletics. Nearly all of our seven on campus athletic training and sports medicine facilities have been recentlly constructed or renovated to include the latest in therapeutic modalities and injury rehabilitation equipment.
Weatherwax Healthcare Suite
The Weatherwax Healthcare Suite is housed inside the Stark Performance Center and is the medical home to the Iowa State Cyclone Football Team as well as being accessible to all 400+ Cyclone Student Athletes. This clinic combines the traditional athletic training room with a modern, cutting edge sports medicine center allowing our athletic trainers, physicians and other medical providers to deliver the highest level of care to our athletes.
Cyclone Sports Complex Athletic Training Room
The athletic training room at the CSC is the new home to Cyclone Women's Soccer, Softball and Men's and Women's Track & Field. Built in 2012, this athletic training room serves as a satellite facility for practice and game preparation for these sports.
R. Earl Feldman Athletic Training Room
The Feldman Athletic Training Room is located in the lower level of the Stark Performance Center at Jack Trice Stadium. Opening in the Fall of 2021, it replaced the Feldman Athletic Health Care Center in the Olsen Building. Currently, the Feldman Athletic Training Room serves as the primary AT facility for the day to day operations and sports medicine needs of the women's soccer, women's tennis, softball and M/W golf teams.
Hilton Coliseum Athletic Training Room
The Hilton Coliseum athletic training room is located on the lower level in the northeast corner of the building. It serves as a game day home for Men's and Women's Basketball, Volleyball, Wrestling, and Gymnastics. This athletic training room was renovated after the floods of 2010 and now houses a PolarZone therapeutic cold spa.
Lied Recreation Center Athletic Training Room
The athletic training room at the Lied Recreation Center is the day to day home to Iowa State Wrestling and Men's & Women's Cross Country and Track & Field, and our Cyclone Cheer Squads. Student-athletes have access to full rehabilitation equipment, hydrotherapy via a HydroWorx 300 Sport underwater treadmill and a plethora of therapeutic modalities.
Sukup Basketball Complex Athletic Training Room
The athletic training room at the Sukup Basketball Complex serves the men's and women’s basketball teams on a day to day basis. The facility includes PolarZone therapeutic cold & warm spas, state of the art modalities, rehabilitation area, offices for athletic training staff, and areas for pre-practice taping and preparation. This facitliy was constructed and opened in the fall of 2009.
Beyer Hall Athletic Training Room
Beyer Athletic Training Room is located inside Beyer Hall, a campus recreational facility, and is home to ISU Swimming and Diving and Gymnastics.
McKee Volleyball Center Athletic Training Room
McKee Athletic Training Room is home to the Cyclone Women's Volleyball Team. This sports medicine facility opened in the Summer of 2025.
Iowa State Tennis Athletic Training Room
The Iowa State Tennis Facility opened in the fall of 2024 and is the everyday home to the Iowa State Women's Tennis team.
Stark Performance Center Dining Hall and Fueling Stations
The Stark Performance Center 4th Floor Dining Facility and main floor fueling station is accessible to all Cyclone Student-Athletes.
Forker Building Athletic Training Room
The Forker Building athletic training room is located on the lower level of the facility. This athletic training facility serves as a satellite facility that is used on an as needed basis when teams practice in the Forker building.
Athletic Training Classroom (Forker 213)
Iowa State's Masters of Athletic Training Program is proud to have the AT Classroom located in the Barbara E. Forker Building to allow for classroom and lab educational experiences for our graduate and undergraduate athletic training students.
