HISTORY

The history of Iowa State Athletic Training and Sports Medicine is a storied one.  Click the button below to read about the history of our department dating back to the early 1900's; including details of one of our first athletic training students, George Washington Carver.  Much of our department's  current capabilities and national reputation can be directly tied to the work of C.F. Randall and the other six NATA Hall of Fame members with Iowa State backgrounds.

FACILITIES

The sports medicine facilities at Iowa State University are some of the finest in modern collegiate athletics.  Nearly all of our seven on-campus athletic training and sports medicine facilities have been recentlly constructed or renovated to include the latest in therapeutic modalities and injury rehabilitation equipment.
