Professional Information

Jamie Cranfill started her role as the Olympic Sports Dietitian in the summer of 2023. Prior to her full-time position, she was Iowa State University’s Associate for Sports Nutrition—Olympic Sports from 2022-2023. Jamie is an Iowa State University, Class of 2018 Alumni and Ames, Iowa is where she ignited her passion for sports nutrition as an undergraduate sports nutrition volunteer. Her primary responsibility is to build relationships with student-athletes in order to effectively assess nutritional needs and create individualized fueling strategies. Additionally, Cranfill manages team fueling stations campus-wide, participates in an interdisciplinary team to advocate for student-athlete wellness, and assists in departmental management. She is passionate about mentoring, creating and teaching innovative team education, and using up to date, evidence-based research and practices to improve her athlete’s performance.
