Professional Information

Jamie Cranfill, an Iowa State graduate, joined Iowa State Athletics in June 2022. With five years of experience as a registered dietitian and an extensive background working in collegiate sport, Jamie brings a wealth of knowledge to ISU’s Olympic teams. Jamie currently serves as the lead dietitian for men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, track and field/cross country, and swim/dive. She is responsible for leading each team’s nutrition counseling and education services, game day nutrition protocols, Sports Nutrition procurement and collecting and analyzing pertinent health and performance data with the goal of supporting well-being and development.
Prior joining Iowa State, Jamie served as a Sports Nutrition Graduate Assistant at West Chester University of Pennsylvania from 2020-2022. She was also a Sports Nutrition Fueling Station Manager at Texas Christian University from 2019-2020. From 2020-2022, Jamie worked as a private practice registered dietitian for Portrait Health Centers. Jamie also completed sports nutrition internship stints at Iowa State University, The University of Minnesota and The University of Delaware.
