Professional Information
Joining the staff at ISU in Fall 2024, Tessa serves as an Associate Director of Athletic Training working with Women’s Basketball. Tessa’s interest in athletic training began as a collegiate athlete herself planning on attending Physical Therapy school post-undergrad, when her course of study swiftly changed in her final year to focus on a bachelor’s degree in athletic training while also being a member of the North Park Women’s soccer team. Her curiosity rehabilitation coupled with her love of sports have brought her many opportunities over the past 11 years, narrowing her focus to corrective and preventative rehab & manual therapy techniques to keep her student-athletes healthy and moving even after they are done competing at the collegiate level. Throughout these experiences, Tessa identified another passion working specifically with the female population; a passion for elevating and promoting women in sports as well as takes a heightened interest in studying and advocating for women’s health and opportunities. She continues to find ways to support female student-athletes as well as women working in the realm of college athletics daily.

Hobbies & Activities
A Chicagoland native, Tessa is a lover of all things Chicago and Chicago sports. In her free time, Tessa enjoys the outdoors and exercise; be it pickleball, running/training for something or doing a Peloton workout. Tessa is often on-the-go and loves to travel to see friends, family or experience new places. She is also a self-proclaimed 'foodie', believing the best way to get to know a new place or people is through the culture of food. Otherwise, you can find her spending time at home with her two cats Remus (13) and Ollivander (1), binging Gilmore Girls or Scrubs while doing some sort of home project.
